We are celebrating our 3rd International Day of Yoga on the 21st of June 2017, and we extend our warm wishes to everyone; everyone who has directly or indirectly kept the tradition of yoga alive and kicking. Yoga is our heritage, a science discovered in India and practiced since centuries by our Yogis. But the revolution in health awareness has brought Yoga into everyone’s life and has made it an integral part of every individual’s life today.
It is said that when you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace. Yoga holds a history aged about 5000 years. It is a science which aims at transforming an individual’s physical, mental as well as spiritual health. Owing to the great benefits that people have had by practicing Yoga, it has got acceptance throughout the world. Since Yoga has received acclamation internationally, on December 11, 2014; the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. June 21 is the Summer Solstice and has a great significance; and is thus declared as the International Day of Yoga.
Mr. Narendra Modi claimed Yoga to be an invaluable gift, a gift to Human race. Yoga is not just exercising, but it is basically discovering the sense of oneness with yourself.

The moment you attach the word “yog,” it indicates it is a complete path by itself.
The word “parshuyog yog” essentially means, “that which brings you to reality”. Literally, it means “union.” Yoga means to move towards an experiential reality where one knows the ultimate nature of the existence, the way it is made.
Derived from the Sanskrit word Yuj, Yoga means union of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Yoga is a 5000-year-old Indian body of knowledge. Though many think of yoga only as a physical exercise where people twist, turn, stretch, and breathe in the most complex ways, these are actually only the most superficial aspect of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. The science of Yoga imbibes the complete essence of the Way of Life.
Mrs. Priyanka Agrawal, founder of Vigour and Verve finishing school instantly replied; when asked what Yoga was for her,
When everything fails Yoga works like a Bramhastra. It is a complete life saviour that works wonders even when everything else fails. Yoga is a miraculous gift given to us by our rich heritage. It is an experience which takes you out of the world while you are still there. It connects you to yourself.
Mr. Rahul Das, founder of Yogpeeth believes in Yoga and imbibes it deep into his trainees. He says that,
Yoga teaches you how to listen to your body mind n soul… Yog aligns your mind, body and soul. Yoga is the best fitness regime anyone could ever follow since it benefits one physically, mentally as well as spiritually.
Wow, so much to learn from our experts. Raipur is truly blessed to be a land of these pros.
Last but not the least, Reincarnating Raipur wishes all its readers a healthy and a peaceful International Day of Yoga…
