Celebrating 11th Year Of Chhattisgarhi Bhasha Diwas!

Chhattisgarhi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, by 24 million people. It was November 28, 2007, when Chhattisgarhi language was given the status of the state language in Vidhan Sabha. ”Therefore, this date is observed as a special day”. Chhattisgarhi Bhasha Diwas is used to celebrate to make the people aware of the Chhattisgarhi Language. It is very important to get knowledge about your own Language of Chhattisgarhi or giving the value to the Chhattisgarhi Language.

Chhattisgarh  Bhasha Diwas is used to celebrate with lots of people by organizing many of the events as well as activities like the Speech, Games, Story recitation, Quiz Competitions, Poems of the Chhattisgarhi and many more.

TEEJAN BAI

chhattisgarhi Bai is an exponent of Pandavani, a traditional performing art form, from Chhattisgarh, in which she enacts tales from the Mahabharata in Chhattisgarhi, with musical accompaniments. She has been awarded the Padma Shri in 1987, and Padma Bhushan in 2003, besides 1995 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1995, given by Sangeet Natak Akademi, India’s National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama.

Chhollywood refers to the film industry of Chhattisgarh state, It is established in In 1965 the first Chhattisgarhi film Kahi Debe Sandesh (“In Black and White”) directed and produced by Manu Nayak was released.

Omkar Das Manikpuri (born 1970) is an Indian stage and film actor. He is a native of Brindanagarm, currently residing in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, who has been a member of folk-theatre doyen Habib Tanvir’s, Naya Theatre company for several years. Manikpuri made his Hindi film debut as a male lead in Aamir Khan productions’ Peepli Live in 2010.

KISHORE SAHU

Kishore Sahu (22 November 1915 – 22 August 1980) was an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter and producer from Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. He appeared in 22 films between 1937 and 1980. He directed 20 films between 1942 and 1974.

Vidya Charan Shukla (2 August 1929 – 11 June 2013)  from Raipur Chhattisgarh was a noted Indian politician and Minister from the Indian National Congress party. His political career spanned of almost six decades. He was a close associate of Indira Gandhi.
