Samridh Kisan Utsav: Empowering Farmers And Fostering Agricultural Innovation

On June 21, 2024, Krishi Jagran organized the dynamic ‘MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav’ at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, the event centred around the theme “Maximizing Farmers’ Income for a Prosperous Bharat.” This initiative aimed to enrich the agricultural community with the latest practices and innovations. Following the success of the 2023 MFOI Award Show, Krishi Jagran launched two new initiatives: the Samridh Kisan Utsav and the MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra. These programs are designed to bolster the farming community by offering platforms for knowledge exchange, showcasing innovations, and facilitating networking.

Notable guests, including Suraj Kumar Pansari, DDA; Diklesh Kumar, ADH; and Diproshan Banjara, KVK Head, graced the event. Over 100 farmers attended, gaining invaluable insights into new agricultural technologies and practices. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) partnered as the knowledge partner, emphasizing the significance of community development and knowledge sharing. The event commenced with participant registration and a ceremonial lamp-lighting. Throughout the day, farmers engaged in sessions on new agricultural techniques and shared their experiences. Additionally, they learned about the ‘Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI)’ Awards initiative by Krishi Jagran, which aims to recognize outstanding contributions to agriculture.

Chiranjeevi Kumar, Assistant Area Manager at Mahindra Tractors, highlighted the transformative potential of advanced agricultural machinery. He showcased the latest Mahindra tractor models, including the Mahindra YUVO TECH Plus 415 DI and Mahindra 415 DI SP Plus Tractor, designed to enhance efficiency and productivity.

During the Samridh Kisan Utsav, certificates were awarded to outstanding and progressive farmers, emphasizing the importance of innovation and dedication in modern agriculture. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Farmers also visited the Mahindra Tractors display to learn about the latest tractors, underscoring Mahindra Tractors’ commitment to supporting agricultural development through advanced technology.

As the second edition of the Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI) Awards 2024 approaches, Krishi Jagran invites widespread participation through an online registration platform. This initiative fosters a culture of recognition and appreciation for India’s farming community. The ‘MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav’ represents a unified effort towards a thriving and sustainable agricultural industry in India, with upcoming initiatives like the ‘MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra’ reinforcing Krishi Jagran’s commitment to honouring and empowering the unrecognized champions of Indian agriculture.
