CG’S COLOURFUL FOOD FESTIVALS
Chhattisgarh has hosted a Chhattisgarhi food festival from July 17 to August 7, 2022, in order to promote monsoon tourism.
The Chhattisgarh state government is looking to amp up its community-based tourism, and the food festival is one of the great ways to do that. The event is held to highlight the state’s diverse cuisine and, along with that, it will also help promote local culture, traditions, and everything related to tourism.
When it comes to Chhattisgarhi cuisine, a lot of new ideas will be introduced to foreigners in order to promote one of the oldest tribal cultures.
From the traditional liquor made of mahua flowers to fiery red ant chutney and fara or chousela roti, there is a lot of diversity one can find in Chhattisgarhi cuisine. There are region specific as well as tribe specific. One will be spoilt for choice.
The food festival will be held in Raipur, Mainpat, Surguja, Sarodha Dadar, Kabirdham, Chitrakote, and Bastar.
Chhattisgarh is to host a local food festival from July 17 to August 7.
The state government is trying to make this food festival a gateway for tourists in the state. The state is at present doing everything it can to promote rural tourism, ecotourism, wellness tourism, and religious tourism. The focus is domestic and local tourism. At present, the state is already working towards pushing the tribal tourism circuit and it has seen quite progress. The Bastar region tops the favourite list of every tribal-loving tourist.
