With the conclusion of the National Tribal Festival, Chhattisgarh is going to start preparing for a new festival. This is the Chhattisgarh Folk Literature and Youth Festival. It will be organized every year on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda from January 12 to 14 in Raipur.
CM Bhupesh Baghel has made a big announcement for the people of the state-on-State Foundation Day i.e., Rajyotsav. CM Bhupesh Baghel has announced that on 12-13-14 January 2022, folk literature, art, and youth festival will be organized.
The CM said that we had just organized the National Tribal Dance Festival. Singer-dancers of many genres like Pandwani, Nacha, Bharthari, Sua dance, and Dadriya are present in every village of the state. At the same time, dialects like Chhattisgarhi, Sargujiha, Gondi, Halbi, and Bhatri are also being written continuously. Literature and folk arts will be given a platform in this event.
About the Youth festival
Under the youth festival, on January 13, there will be a competition of folk dance, Sarhul dance, Suva dance, Danda dance, Panthi, and Bastarhia dance on the open stage in the main stage of the Sports Directorate premises. In Pandit Deendayal Auditorium, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri dance competition will be held in 1500-seater hall, improvised speech, Bharatnatyam and traditional costumes competition in 100-seater hall and flute playing competition in 60-seater hall. There will be a one-act play in Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla Vishwavidyalaya Auditorium and a competition of Harmonium, Mridangam, and Veena in the Science College Auditorium.
On January 14, Rock Band will be organized in the main stage of the Directorate of Sports Complex, and Fugdi, a Bumblebee competition in the open stage, debate and quiz in the hall, and Food Festival will be organized in the Sports Complex Dome. In Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla Vishwavidyalaya Auditorium, the semi-finals of the Gedi race and Kho-Kho, Kabaddi will be held in a one-man drama and sports complex of 7 districts.
The Chief Minister said that this event will also be like the National Tribal Dance Festival. Officials said that this festival, starting in January 2022, will also be regularized now. The Youth Welfare Department has been organizing the Chhattisgarh Youth Festival every year on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Now its size will become grander.
