‘Chhattisgarhiya Olympics 2023′: CM Bhupesh Baghel Inaugrated The Event By Waving Green Flag

Chhattisgarh Olympics is on the board finally and will be played at Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club. Sixteen types of traditional sports have been included in the team and singles category, including rope jumping and wrestling for the first time.

Sixteen types of traditional sports have been included in the team and singles category, including rope jumping and wrestling for the first time. Chhattisgarh Olympics will last for about 2 months and 10 days and will be organized in 6 phases. 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on 17th July inaugurated the second ‘Chhattisgarhiya Olympic’ at Nawagaon village on the outskirts of Raipur. The responsibility of organizing the Chhattisgarh Olympics has been assigned to the Panchayat and Rural Development Department for rural areas and the Urban Administration & Development Department for urban areas. The event will end on 27 September. And of course, prizes will be distributed to the winners. Sports disciplines like Gilli Danda, Pittool, Sankhali, Langdi Run, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Tug of War, and Banti have been included in the team category in the Chhattisgarh Olympics, whereas in the single category sports disciplines, Billus, Fugdi, Gedi Run, Bhanvra, 100 meters race, long jump, rope jump, and wrestling are included. 

Children to elders and players of all age groups will be able to participate in this sports competition. The age group in the Chhattisgarh Olympics is divided into three categories. Under this, the 1st  category will include participants till the age of 18 years, the 2nd category till the age limit of 18-40 years, and the 3rd category will include participants above 40 years of age.
