On 26 April 2023, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel released the ‘Coffee Table Book’ prepared by the ‘Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Association’ at his residence.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated Rekha Shukla, Managing Director of Handloom Association on the publication of the book and said that this Coffee Table Book is very useful in the promotion of handloom textiles of Chhattisgarh.
Managing Director Rekha Shukla said that this book has been named Mangatha. Handloom is also known as Mangatha in the Chhattisgarhi language. In this book, complete information about the manufacturing process of Kosa, Khadi, and cotton sarees woven in Chhattisgarh and various types of sarees have been shown through beautiful pictures.
This book is dedicated to the handloom weavers of Chhattisgarh and will be of great use in promoting Chhattisgarh handlooms across the country.
