The elephant alert app has been launched for the first time in Chhattisgarh by the forest department. This app will work on the safety of animals along with preventing loss of life. This application was launched by Sihawa MLA Dr. Lakshmi Dhruv and DFO Varun Jain by organizing a program in the village Mechka of Sitanadi Sanctuary in the Dhamtari district. This app will send a message to the mobile on the arrival of an elephant within a radius of 20 km.
Elephants started roaming in Dhamtari district for a few years and in the last three to four years, elephants have killed more than a dozen people. Along with this, a large number of crops and houses have been damaged by elephants, due to which people in the Dhamtari district are forced to live in terror of elephants. Given this, the Elephant Alert app has been created by the Forest Department to prevent the loss of life and property from elephants. In case of no network, the app can also work in offline mode. Soon the photo will reach the server after the network is detected, and they will be alerted by phone, at what distance the violent elephant is present from their area? Whereas, in the villages of Sitanadi-Udanti Sanctuary, people, Sarpanch-Upsarpanch, and Kotwars have been connected with this app. The people of the elephant-affected area say that they are in danger from elephants every moment. In such a situation, the Elephant Alert app will be of great use to them.
This app is a blessing for the elephants-affected area, also the loss of life and property can be saved in time. Due to a sufficient quantity of fodder water in the forests of the Dhamtari district, the presence of the Sikaser team, and Chanda elephant team is seen here for twelve months, and due to these elephants, there is a lot of damage to life and property. However, the Elephant Alert App prepared by the Forest Department will prove to be very effective in preventing loss.
