Chattisgarh Got Medal in First Khelo India Tribal Sports National Championship 

Chhattisgarh Team Players have won medals in various sports in the first Khelo India Tribal Sports National Championship, being organized at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Players of Residential Archery Academy Bilaspur & Athletic Academy have performed well in sports.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Sports & Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel have congratulated the team players for their brilliant performances. Kuber Singh of Residential Archery Academy Bilaspur has earned a silver medal in 30 meters and secured second position in the overall championship. Similarly, Kumari Tarnika Teta, a player of Residential Athletic Academy Bilaspur has won a silver medal in 100 meter women’s event. 

On May 25, the selection trial of players of various sports disciplines of the state was organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, at the training center of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur. Eventually, the Chhattisgarh team entered the final by beating Tripura with a score of 4-0 in the women’s football semi-finals.

On June 12, the final match will be played between Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. In this competition being organized in Bhubaneswar, it is noteworthy that 5000 athletes from 18 states are participating. All eyes are on Chhattisgarh Team now for the final round.
