In this scorching summer heat two kind boys, 10-year-old Khilesh Baagand and his 13-year-old friend Granth Sagar are offering cool pot water to the pedestrians and passers-by in Raipur. These kind youngsters have taken the responsibility upon themselves to serve the people with cool water and refresh them in this heat. Both are students of a Government school located in the civil lines area of Raipur.

Every day they start from morning 10 AM and stay till 4 PM. This act of kindness is what we need to learn in this era. Whoever arrives at their place gets served with chilled and refreshing water, without any cost but a smile, if you can. Renjan Jain who lives nearby fills their earthen pot daily and helps them in this social service.

“The kids live in a nearby society and usually come home to me as I also teach them. As their summer vacation began, the kids were playing in the scorching heat, which could have adverse effects on their health. Last year, we, along with these children, opened a water drinking house, commonly known as ‘Pyau ghar,’ during the summer,” Renjan Jain said.

Hut, where they put their earthen pots, is made by them. All pots are washed regularly, in which they put filtered water. Sometimes even a small act of kindness can bring a big change in society.
