Now, Chhattisgarhi words can be translated into English words through a mobile app. North America Chhattisgarhi Association (NACHA) has developed an app called Chhattiskosh, after two years of research. The app’s launch will be held on June 10 in Raipur. After its launch, users will be able to download the app from Google Play Store and iOS.
Till now translation of the Chhattisgarhi language to English was not available anywhere neither on Google nor on the internet. But now onwards, this can be easily done through the Chhattiskosh app. Also, Chhattisgarhi language tutorial videos have been included in the mobile app. In the second phase, more than one lakh words will be included in the app. Professors of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, litterateurs of the state, and students of the Chhattisgarhi language helped to develop this app. Features of the Chhattiskosh Mobile App include the translation of 25000 English words into Chhattisgarhi, and the English translation of 25000 Chhattisgarhi words to English as well. The app also comprises Chhattisgarhi’s book, story, poem, and tutorial videos of Chhattisgarhi Language. Litterateurs such as Pardeshiram Verma, Surendra Dubey, Sudhir Sharma, Sushil Bhole, Arun Kumar Nigam, Savita Pathak, Geeta Tripathi, Shobhamohan Srivastava, Mohan Srivastava, Ramnath Sahu, Deepali Thakur, Asha Deshmukh, Tulsi Tiwari, Saral Sharma, Amita Dubey, Sumitra Kamadia, etc supported the project.
Eventually, through this mobile app, people living outside Chhattisgarh will be able to understand Chhattisgarhi in a better way. This app will boost the importance of the Chhattisgarhi language in India and of course worldwide.
