These days a group of fools working in Raipur, go to dirty places to clean them. This group calls themselves the “BUNCH OF FOOLS” (@bunchoffools) because everyone who sees them at work thinks they are fools and laughs at them. BUNCH OF FOOLS is not a group of school or college friends, it is a group of young businessmen from Raipur. They go on a cleanliness drive every Sunday and get involved in cleaning as many dirty spots as possible in the city.
After cleaning the spot, the group members also paint it to beautify it. Also, the people living nearby are made aware of cleanliness by them. The founder members of the group are Sachin Bhuwalka, Abhishek Gandhi, Manish Sharma, Sachin Bhuwalka, Prashant Kochhar, Sunny Jain, and Mukesh Rathi. Their work has also been praised by PM Narendra Modi. According to the group members, they want cleanliness in our city, for this sweeping is not enough. Everyone has to become aware and work hard towards it.
BUNCH OF FOOLS felt that something should be done for the city, but was not able to understand where to start. During the discussion, they decided why don’t they take up the task of cleaning themselves. They saw the place for cleaning, then reached the spot for cleaning the next day. On the first day, Akashvani Chowk was cleaned, which was not cleaned for years by anyone. There was a dustbin which gets filled in a day but its garbage is picked up only once a week. After removing the garbage, that place has been developed as a pathway.
Bunch of Fools was offered financial support by many people, but they declined. They do not want to make this initiative a source of earning, so they do not take financial help from anyone. According to the group members, if anyone really wants to make the city beautiful, then they can join us and contribute as shramdaan.
