Reincarnating Raipur
The Traditional Karate Association of Goa hosted the Third West Zone Karate Championship 2023 from August 25–27 at Matgaon, Goa. In the junior division, our region’s team included seven players from the Mahasamund district, a manager, and a coach.
Shrishti Sahu, Tanmay Sharma, Akshada Chandrakar, Satvika Varma, Aditi Sahu, Abhyuday Manikpuri, and Krishna Patel were on the team. Praveen Malik handled the coaching duties, and Abhay Das dealt with the managerial duties.
Tanmay Sharma and Akshada Chandrakar of Mahasamund performed spectacularly and won bronze in the competition.
The District Sports Officer Manoj Dhritlahare, the President of the Mahasamund Karate Association Prafull Dubey, Vice-President Sandeep Choudhary, Secretary Anand Vaishnav, Treasurer Manish Srivastava, Treasurer Moin Qureshi, Vikas Das, Lalu Sonwani, Sunny Sahu, Ravi Kishan, Mohit Qureshi, Narendra Dave, and parents extended their congratulations for the players’ outstanding performance.
