In the 66th National School Games, Chhattisgarh’s under-19 school chess women player Jaish Kesarwani achieved huge success by performing brilliantly. The chess tournament was held in 6 rounds in the National School Games organized in Delhi, in which 124 players from 26 states including Chhattisgarh portrayed their talent.
Jesh Kesharwani won the gold medal by scoring 5 points in 6 rounds. She earned the gold medal by conquering Swaroopa ET of Bihar, Puducherry, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Delhi, and Kerala with 1442 rating points. Under the national school competition, a football match is being organized in Bhopal. In this tournament, the first match was played between Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on Saturday, Chhattisgarh’s team started with a win by defeating Jharkhand with a score of 3-0. Chaman scored the first goal in the 17th minute, Manish scored the second goal in the 50th minute and Arun achieved the third goal in the 65th minute. On the other hand, the state’s girl basketball team is playing well in sports and continues to create winning stories. In Saturday’s quarterfinal match, the girls’ team defeated Haryana by 38-18 points to secure a place in the last four teams.
Players such as Riya Kundhadkar, Dimple Dhobi, Karishma Meena, Mona Goswami, Chanchal Sharma, and Minu Sinha performed well in the last eight matches. Now Chhattisgarh will play against Punjab’s team in the semi-finals.
