Archifest23 was a magnificent two-day annual festival that took place on February 18th and 19th, organized by the Department of Architecture (DoA) of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur. It was a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community that brought together the brightest minds and most creative spirits in the world of architecture.

The festival was organized under the adept guidance of the Head of the Department Dr Swasti Sthapak and coordinated by Sachin Kumar Sahu, assistant professor. The event was inaugurated by Associate Professor of DoA, Dr Debhasis Sanyal, with a lamp-lighting ceremony and paying obeisance to Maa Saraswati.

The festival was packed with exciting and engaging events that included a quiz competition, a filmmaking workshop, debates, sculpture-making, story-making, comic sketches, and treasure hunts. Participants were divided into four groups, each tasked with creating the most innovative and stunning architectural designs. These competitions challenged the participants to think creatively and push the boundaries of what is possible.

The festival also featured exhibitions, seminars, and guest lectures by leading experts in the field. These events provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, learn from others, and network with like-minded individuals. The festival was not just about buildings but also about people, communities, and the power of innovation to change the world.

Archifest23 was unique in its focus on inclusivity and community. The festival was open not only to architecture students but also to anyone who was curious about the field. It was a supportive and welcoming environment that encouraged attendees to explore their creative side and connect with others who shared their passion for architecture and art.

The festival concluded with the Anand Mela and the closing ceremony, where Team Pit and Pendulum emerged as the overall winners. Prizes were distributed to the winners of other competitions, and students got a chance to celebrate their hard work and achievements.

In conclusion, Archifest23 was a testament to the talent, creativity, and hard work of the DoA students and faculty. It was a showcase of the best and brightest in the world of architecture and a reminder that the field is not just about buildings but also about people, communities, and the power of innovation to change the world. We can’t wait to see what Archifest24 will bring!
