Government school students who pass the 12th grade will receive an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate. The initiative began at Government Higher Secondary School Zone 2, Khursipar Sector 11, Bhilai. Here, two batches of 80 students each, specializing in Welding and Stenography in Hindi, will undergo ITI training in the 11th grade.

Notably, 40 of these students will pursue Stenography in ITI. Both trades have been allocated to Arts students. Training will be provided to students over one year. Chief Minister has directed the Bhilai Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to provide resources for students of government schools. Alongside resources, trainers from ITI will also be involved. A batch of 80 students has been prepared for this purpose. According to the plan, 11th-grade students undergoing ITI training will have morning classes. The classes will be held from 7 AM to 12 PM. For students pursuing the Welding and Stenography trades through ITI, their final period has been reduced. In other words, these students will complete their classes by 11:25 AM. As these students reside nearby, they will return home and attend classes from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Students pursuing ITI are also granted concessions by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education. In the 11th and 12th grades, a student needs to study five subjects and take exams. However, ITI students are allowed to reduce one subject, either Hindi or English and include the Welding or Stenography trade. In the coming days, there are plans to integrate ITI education into other government schools. This option has been provided.
