Talented cricketer of Chhattisgarh state, Amandeep Khare has been selected for the five-day ‘Duleep Trophy Cricket Tournament 2023’ occurring on the 28th of June. Amandeep is the only player from the state to enter this tournament & represent the central zone in the tournament.
Amandeep Khare will contribute to the team as the middle-order batter in this cricket tournament. He has been selected twice for the Duleep Trophy Cricket Tournament. For the Chhattisgarh team in ‘Ranji Trophy 2022-2023’, Amandeep scored 544 runs including 153 runs against Jharkhand. These are the highest runs scored by any batsman of the state. This brilliant performance of his was the main reason to select for the Duleep Trophy Tournament 2023. Amandeep is happy to represent our state in the tournament while engaged in the preparations for the same. Earlier he played Duleep Trophy Cricket Tournament 2017-2018, and this is his second tournament. The tournament will be played between six zones, while adequate performers from central zone states were Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Indian Railways, Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh.
Raja Banerjee, childhood coach of Amandeep, knew his true potential and thus always encouraged him to play. His coach was so confident about Amandeep’s game, and had an optimistic view toward Amandeep’s performance in ‘Duleep Trophy Cricket Tournament 2023’. Previously, Harpreet Singh Bhatia, Pankaj Rao & Ashutosh Singh have been selected for this tournament from Chhattisgarh.
