Bastar’s Female Constable Won 7 Gold in Kickboxing So Far

Poornima Thakur, a female constable of Bastar Police, has won gold in the 64 kg category of weightlifting competition in the National Games organized by the Master Games Federation in Kerala.

The police department is proud of the success of Purnima Thakur. There is an atmosphere of happiness among fellow soldiers on the top performance of a female jawan in the weightlifting game. Poornima remains his source of inspiration. Purnima, who got the first position in the weightlifting competition 64 categories held in Kerala, told that she practiced for 3 hours every day to improve her game. Along with her sports, Poornima also gives enough time to her duty. Poornima gave the credit for her achievement to the high officials of her department, IG Bastar Sundar Raj P, Bastar SP, and Additional SP. High officials of the department are also feeling very proud of this success of Purnima. Bastar IG Sundar Raj P said that the success of Poornima is very important for the department. Poornima has brought laurels to the department as well as Bastar.

Giving information, IG Sundarraj P said that in recent times, such an environment is being created in Bastar, so that police personnel of Bastar can push themselves forward in different sports. For this, efforts are being made in collaboration with the district administration. The IG told that recently an international-level sports ground has been prepared at Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Jagdalpur.
