Reincarnating Raipur
The Third West Zone Karate Championship 2023 was organized by the Traditional Karate Association of Goa in Matgaon, Goa from August 25th to 27th, 2023. The team representing our region consisted of seven players from the Mahasamund district in the junior category, along with one coach and one manager.
The team included Shrishti Sahu, Akshada Chandrakar, Satvika Varma, Aditi Sahu, Abhyuday Manikpuri, Tanmay Sharma, and Krishna Patel. The coaching responsibilities were undertaken by Praveen Malik, while Abhay Das served as the manager.
In the championship, Mahasamund’s Tanmay Sharma and Akshada Chandrakar put up an impressive performance and succeeded in winning bronze medals.
In recognition of the players’ outstanding performance and their achievement of bronze medals, the District Sports Officer, Manoj Dhritlahare, the President of the Mahasamund Karate Association, Prafull Dubey, Vice-President Sandeep Choudhary, Secretary Anand Vaishnav, Treasurer Manish Srivastava, Treasurer Moin Qureshi, Vikas Das, Lalu Sonwani, Sunny Sahu, Ravi Kishan, Mohit Qureshi, Narendra Dave, and parents extended their congratulations.
