State Level Wrestling Academy Will Soon Open In Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh Government has decided to launch the Bajrangbali Akhara Protsahan Yojana for the preservation and promotion of Akharas in the state. Public Relations Department officials gave this information on Tuesday. Officials said that the Bajrangbali Akhara Promotion Scheme will be started for the preservation and promotion of Akharas in the state as well as to hone the talents of wrestlers. He said that along with this, a state-level wrestling academy will be started in the capital Raipur through which the talent of this region will be groomed.

He said that along with this, a state-level wrestling academy will be started in the capital Raipur through which the talent of this region will be groomed.

 

Officials said that to encourage wrestling in the state, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made two big announcements on Monday on the occasion of Nag Panchami. The Chief Minister has also announced an academy to encourage traditional sports like Malkhamb in the state.

 

Better environment for traditional sports :-

He said that the objective of the Bajrangbali Akhara Promotion Scheme is to recreate a better environment for traditional sports like wrestling in Chhattisgarh. Besides, the state’s wrestling talents have to be brought to the national and international stage. Officials said that through the Bajrangbali Incentive Scheme, the akharas can be conserved and promoted and the akharas where wrestlers used to show their wrestling earlier, but now remain deserted, will get revival through this scheme.

 

He said that along with this, a state-level wrestling academy will also be started in the capital Raipur. Efforts will be made to hone wrestling talent through this academy. Officials said that Chief Minister Baghel participated in the wrestling competition organized by Shankar Seva Samiti in Gudhiyari, Raipur on Monday.

 

On this occasion, he congratulated the people of the state on Nag Panchami and said that earlier on the occasion Nag Panchami, Malkhamb, Kabaddi, wrestling, etc. were organized in every village. Wrestlers used to participate in large numbers. In today’s times, organizing wrestling on such occasions is commendable. Baghel said, “The state government is organizing Chhattisgarh Olympics to encourage sports and players. A large number of children and elderly people are taking part in this. The state government is ready to promote sports and players.
