IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run Breaks Guinness World Record

The Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) has organized an international non-violence run ‘IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run’ powered by Torrent Group on 2nd April 2023, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir.

In this age of violence, Jain society has made a righteous effort to awaken the light of non-violence in the world. For this, the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) has organized an international non-violence run ‘IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run’ powered by Torrent Group on 2nd April 2023, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. Ladies Wing of JITO Raipur firmly believes in peace and non-violence, through Ahimsa Run, they are aiming to create a better & peaceful world.

People from 22 countries around the world participated in this along with 65 cities of the country including Raipur. In Raipur, this run started at 5.30 AM from Jain Dadabadi located on MG Road. About 4 lakh participants from all over the world ran together for one purpose, i.e. non-violence, in this rally. For conducting the highest number of pledges for non-violence & peace within a week, the Guinness World Record title was awarded to ‘IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run’. By taking place simultaneously in 70 locations. IIFL set another world record, beating the previous record set by the Russian Organization for running in 49 locations simultaneously From MG Road via Gandhi Udyan, Bhagat Singh Chowk, the rally came to an end after reaching back to Dadabari. T-shirts were distributed to the first 1000 participants who registered and medals to the first 1500 participants who completed the run. Arrangements were also available there for snacks before the race. The organizing committee has invited Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, former Minister Rajesh Munat, Sports Minister Umesh Patel, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, SSP Prashant Aggarwal, etc. to participate in the non-violence rally. Earlier, MLA Kuldeep Juneja and Mayor Ejaz Dhebar released the poster of the rally.

During this, former National Chairperson Sunita Vora, Apex Director Jaichand Baid, Chairman of JITO Chhattisgarh Chapter Ashok Patwa, Chief Secretary Kanhaiya Lunawat, Treasurer Alok Jain, President of Mahavir Jayanti Festival Committee Manoj Kothari, President of Jeeto Raipur Ladies Wing Dr. Sarita Chowdhary, Chapter Convener Sushil Lodha, MP-Chhattisgarh Convener Kusum Srishrimal, Sandeep Jhabak, President of JITO Ladies Wing Dr. Sarita Chowdhary, Chief Secretary Monika Surana, Youth Wing President Prakhar Jain, Chief Secretary Rishabh Parakh, etc. were present. IIFL has received support and recognition from PM Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu and our Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also appealed to people for their participation in this kind of initiative.
