Talented cricketer of Chhattisgarh state, Amandeep Khare has been selected for the five-day ‘Duleep Trophy Cricket Tournament 2023’ occurring on the 28th of June. Amandeep is the only player from the state to enter this tournament & represent the central zone in the tournament.
In the 23rd State Level Cadet Judo Championship, the girl players of Raipur won 7 medals including 1 gold, while performing brilliantly at the championship. Manjot Kaur of Raipur earned a gold medal in this competition, which was organized at Bhatapara.
The naxal-affected Bastar division is now becoming a sports hub. Chhattisgarh’s only sports complex has been completed in Jagdalpur, where matches of a dozen sports can be organized simultaneously.
In the 66th National School Games, Chhattisgarh’s under-19 school chess women player Jaish Kesarwani achieved huge success by performing brilliantly. The chess tournament was held in 6 rounds in the National School Games organized in Delhi, in which 124 players from 26 states including Chhattisgarh portrayed their talent.
Chhattisgarh Team Players have won medals in various sports in the first Khelo India Tribal Sports National Championship, being organized at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Players of Residential Archery Academy Bilaspur & Athletic Academy have performed well in sports.
