Now, you will not have to visit the RTO office to get your driving license renewed or duplicated in Chhattisgarh. Services of RTO such as modifying the address in the license or any other correction can be done online sitting at home.
For this, one has to go to the site of the Transport Department and complete the online process mentioned in it. After completing the process, Rs 450 will have to be deposited online. After that, the new corrected license will reach home within 15 days. This facility is going to start in RTO on 23rd June 2023. Till now, even after doing the online process regarding any corrections, one had to go to the RTO office with the documents. Sometimes, officers aren’t present there so the process becomes more lengthy. To improve this system, the entire process has been made online. Transport Commissioner Dipanshu Kabra said that auto-approval will be done from renewal of a driving license to address change, replacement, NOC, surrender of the class vehicle as well as loss or damage of license without any human intervention. For this, an online application can be made by visiting the transport site https://parivahan.gov.in. The entire process of the new system has been updated on the website of the Transport Department. All the processes will be done with an Aadhaar card.
Similarly, NOC from the police will not be required, if the driving license is lost. One will have to apply for its replacement, no more documents will be required for this. Only an Aadhaar card and an old driving license number are sufficient.
