Gone are the days of standing in long lines for OPD registration at CIMS Hospital, Bilaspur. With rapid advancements in services, patients can now register for OPD by simply scanning a QR code. This innovation is part of a broader effort to enhance hospital services, both inside and outside, within the last three months.
Expanded OPD Services
Neurology and Urology OPD services have started operating twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. In addition, Neurosurgery OPD services are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. These changes have been well-received, with 49 patients in Neurosurgery and 95 in Neurology availing these services in the last two weeks alone. Over the past four months, 639 outpatients and 112 surgical patients have benefited from the Urology department.
Cleanliness and Beautification
Special attention has been given to the cleanliness and beautification of the hospital. Immediate approvals from DMF funds have enabled the meeting of basic needs swiftly, contributing to an improved patient experience.
Progress on Multi Super Specialty Hospital
The Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Koni, an ambitious Rs 200 crore project under the PMSSY scheme, is rapidly taking shape. The hospital plans to begin its services this year, with civil and electrical work nearing completion. Of the 105 different pieces of equipment received, 56 have arrived, 23 have been installed, and the rest are in progress. Recruitment of staff is underway, with four specialist doctors appointed in Urology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Anesthesia, along with 10 resident doctors in Diagnostic Services.
Temporary Deployment of Specialists
While the construction of the Multi Super Specialty Hospital is ongoing, the appointed specialists are currently serving at SIMS. Financial support from the Collector through DMF has facilitated the appointment of these specialists and residents.
Restoration of MRI and CT Scan Facilities
After three weeks of maintenance, the MRI and CT Scan facilities at SIMS are operational again. The issues stemmed from air conditioning problems caused by high voltage in the power supply. Thanks to improvements by the E&M branch of the Public Works Department and CSEB, the air conditioning and scanning equipment are now fully functional.
In conclusion, the ongoing improvements at CIMS Hospital, Bilaspur, including the introduction of QR code OPD registration, expanded OPD services, and progress on the Multi Super Specialty Hospital in Koni, signify a new era of enhanced healthcare services. Patients in the area are already experiencing significant medical relief and can look forward to even better facilities soon.
