Underground Cable Project in Raipur; High-tech Rajak Gudi Made For The Dhobi Community

Raipur is going to get the gift of some outgrowth as 16 urban gardens and ponds have been renovated by Raipur Smart City recently. Apart from this, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Urban Industrial Park (Rajak Gudi).

Some of the development projects include underground cabling from the power distribution company. The foundation stone for underground cabling work will be laid at Rs 109 crore. Modern facilities will be provided to the Rajak community traditionally engaged in the work of washing and ironing clothes in Raipur. For this, Raipur Smart City has established an urban industrial park at Narayya Talab. An electric washing machine has been installed here. Also, there are 2 clothes dryers and a washer.

Also, they’ll be provided training to the washermen community to make soap and detergent for employment at Narayya Talab near Siddharth Chowk in the Tikrapara area. Here play area, and pathways have been prepared for children to roam. Earlier, the beautification of ponds like Budhatalab-Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, Telibandha, and Katora Talab of Raipur has been done.

36 community buildings are to be built in different wards of the Municipal Corporation area. They will be constructed soon. In these buildings, poverty-line or middle-class families will have facilities for events.
