Meet Himanshu Uikey,
Himanshu Uikey, born in Waraseoni, MP.
His family shifted to Dhamtari when he was a child and later Dalli Rajhara, and now he stays in Bhilai.
He did his schooling from Dalli Rajhara, graduation in Bachelors of engineering from Bhilai Institute of Engineering & Technology. He was never into jobs and always did what his heart says and right now he is a renowned scriptwriter.
He got his interest in comedy after watching people performing on various platforms. In 2015, he started his passion for open mics by performing various stages and cafes.
He is also running an event company “knife-edge comedy” which he started while doing open mics. He travelled to Bangalore to do some shows. After returning, he began to organise open mics in Bhilai but to organise shows they needed a brand name & this is how knife-edge comedy came. It has been 3 years since he is organising events in Raipur.
He enjoys pubs and is also a fitness freak. He is a big fan of mixed martial arts.
Himanshu also wants to do MMA but due to lack of time is not being able to follow this thing.
He started doing comedy by watching Vipul Goyal and AIB, and his favourite comedian from India is Shrijan Kaushik, Mark Normand is also one of his favourite comedians.
His family was always supportive, in his entire journey.
In 2016 he was doing everything by his own, like performing in Cafes and pubs.
He started bringing comedians from Mumbai, Abhishek Upmanyu, and many more comedians attended his show. In 2017, he got featured in the Rising star of Comedy in NDTV prime.
He is right now writing a script for a web series. Till now he has done over 400 shows within 5 years. He has performed in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Jamshedpur, Bhilai, Raipur and we can say all over India.
