Somari Maurya said that he got the opportunity to know and understand the benefits of the group and he focused on taking small loans and repaying them on time and increasing his economic activity so that he could meet the small needs of the family. Somari said that during the cluster meeting of self-help groups, he shared his thoughts and also took advice in this regard. Guidance was received to set up a mini rice mill at the local level as per the needs of the villagers of nearby villages. When Somari informed the family members about this, they also agreed in this regard. In this direction, Somari also took a loan of Rs 50 thousand from the group’s bank linkage and received 3 days of business-related training. After this, he established a mini rice mill at his home and started milling the paddy of farmers and villagers. With this, the villagers also got the facility of milling paddy at the local level. Somari earns an income of Rs 8 to 10 thousand every month by running her mini rice mill properly and is focusing on the education and upbringing of her children.
