Women of self-help groups in the capital Raipur will now prepare hygienic sanitary pads for poor women. Pad-making training will be given by Smart City. An organization named E Care of Delhi will give this training. This special initiative is being taken keeping in mind the poor women who cannot buy pads. The specialty of this pad is that women can use it for 2 years by washing it after using it. As an experiment, the organization will distribute 36,000 kits to women. Thus, poor women will not have to buy pads again and again. Smart City has completed preparations for this.
According to officials, many women cannot afford pads. She uses cloth under compulsion, due to which the risk of infection and many diseases increases. To make women self-reliant, the Municipal Corporation will provide training to make sanitary pads. This will be on behalf of Delhi’s prestigious organization E-Care. For this self-help women working in different fields will be given free training. For this, there will be a channel of 5 project managers. About 150 master tailors will prepare this, and 200 people will be trained by master trainers, in these women can move forward in the field of personal health and make themselves self-reliant.
Care and Maintenance
There will be 91800 sanitary pads in 36000 kits. Three pad sanitary pads will remain in one kit and will be used for 2 years. Once used it must be soaked in detergent powder for half an hour then washed with water and dried in the sun for half an hour and dried under a fan for at least 5 hours. Do not use a brush or scrub in this. After drying, you can put one or two drops of lemon juice or Dettol in it, it will be useful again.

According to experts, women in rural and urban areas are using shortcuts due to financial constraints, and a lack of awareness, and financial constraints are the main reason. Dr. Trupti Panigrahi, Assistant Health Officer told that Smart City along with Delhi’s organization will train women to make sanitary pads. This is a tree that can be used for 2 years. The organization will do the work of distributing pads worth Rs 61 lakh free of cost.
