Renowned poet of our country, Dr. Kumar Vishwas will present Ramkatha at the National Ramayana Festival in Raigarh. Vishwas has been recognized as a poet, but for the past few years, he also has presented Ramkatha in his unique style of presentation. Folk Singer Maithili Thakur has also been very popular due to her melodious voice and will be present at the National Ramayana Festival.
This event is being organized on the initiative of the Chhattisgarh Government so that a maximum number of people can gratify in the popular story, Ram Katha. The National Ramayana Festival focuses on the Aranya Kand of Ramkatha. In this sense, if we pay attention to Kumar Vishwas’ Ramkatha so far, a large part of it focuses on the specific struggles faced by Lord Shri Ram during his exile. His story mentions those sages whom Lord Shri Ram met during the Aranya Kand. Notably, Chhattisgarh has been the holy land of many sages associated with Ramkatha.
Lord Shri Ram went to the hermitage of these sages during his exile and continuously discussed Brahma’s knowledge with them. As most of these pastimes have been performed by Lord Shri Ram in Dandakaranya, thus the culture department holds the festival on Aranya Kand.
Indian Idol fame Shamukh Priya, very popular among youth and music lovers, and Saregama fame Sharad Sharma will also be there for the audience. People’s Day will begin with the songs of famous singers Hansraj Raghuvanshi and Lakhbir Singh Lakkha.
