Summer Sports Training Camp in Chhattisgarh

A 30-day summer sports training camp is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare in all the district headquarters and block headquarters of Chhattisgarh. 

A 30-day summer sports training camp is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare in all the district headquarters and block headquarters of Chhattisgarh. 

Summer sports training camp will be organized from May 12 in various sports grounds of the city. In this camp, along with volleyball, hockey, kho-kho, football, netball, and kabaddi, training in martial arts will be given. The purpose of the training camp is to attract more and more boys and girls towards sports during leisure time and to generate interest in sports.

During this summer camp, players will be provided training through senior players, where the visiting players are also made aware of the nuances of the game. Sports camps will be organized through district panchayats in district headquarters as well as development block headquarters.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and the guidance of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Umesh Patel, the effort on promoting sports activities, development of infrastructure and facilities, training, and encouragement to players is being done in the state.

The Government of Chhattisgarh, while working for the last four and a half years to nurture and encourage sports talents, is also organizing state-level grand events like the Chhattisgarh Olympics and Youth Festival. The registration of the players participating in the camp will be done at the respective ground. For registration, players can approach the coach at the respective playing field with a recent passport-size photograph.
