A three-day National Ramayana Festival is going to be organized in Chhattisgarh. This event is being organized by the Government of Chhattisgarh. Recently the National Tribal Dance Festival was conducted, so as an initiative of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, a grand National Ramayana Festival is going to be organized in Raigarh next month from June 1 to June 3.
Rehearsals for the event are being done vigorously by the Culture Department of the state. Through this event, a unique presentation of Ramayana by artists from the country and abroad will be seen in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is the birthplace of Lord Ram, a few people know this.
It is believed that Lord Shriram had passed through Dandakaranya during his exile and the part of the forests of Chhattisgarh was the part of Dandak Aranya. Thus, there will be a unique act on the topics of the Aranya incident at the event.
In the National Ramayana Festival, artists of Manas Mandali coming from different states of the country will perform from 2 pm to 6 pm, and Manas Mandali coming from abroad will perform from 8 pm to 10 pm. In this event, Ramayana will be presented by Manas teams from different states as well as by foreign teams on topics focused on Aranya Kand. Collective Hanuman Chalisa and grand Kelo Aarti will also be organized at the National Ramayana Festival.
Officials of the Culture Department said that for the first time in the state, the National Ramayana Festival will be organized grandly at the Ram Leela Maidan in Raigarh by the Culture Department. Prizes will also be given to the troupes participating in this festival. The amount of Rs 5 lakh as the first prize, the amount of Rs 3 lakh as the second prize, and the amount of Rs 2 lakh as the third prize has been fixed. This national-level event by the state government will be a unique initiative in the direction of preserving the culture of the state.
