Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) announced the preliminary examination results (CGPSC Prelims 2023 Result) for the State Service Examination 2023 held on February 11, 2024. The commission declared the results on March 21, with 3597 candidates qualifying for the main examination. Raipur Jungle Safari & Maitri Bagh Endeavor For Genetic Diversity

Maitri Bagh Zoo, managed by Bhilai Steel Plant, is renowned for its forest environment and conservation efforts for white tigers. Recently, Raksha, a prized white tigress from Maitri Bagh, was exchanged with Jaya from Raipur Jungle Safari to enhance genetic diversity on March 21. Jaya, approximately four years old, underwent a secure transfer to Maitri Bagh, maintaining strict protocols. Despite the exchange, Maitri Bagh continues to house nine white tigers. Notably, Raksha, a mother of three cubs born six months ago, has contributed to the zoo’s breeding program, highlighting its success in preserving this majestic species.

The Central Hindi Directorate and The Indian Language Committee jointly commenced The Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya Lecture Series and Student Study Tour, at Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur marking a significant milestone in the acceptance and proliferation of the Hindi language on March 21. Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak, a prominent linguist, underscored Hindi’s momentum driven by grassroots support. Testimonials from students like Amit from Solapur, Aniket from Shivaji Kolhapur University, and Mushtaq Sheikh from Maharashtra further affirm Hindi’s expanding influence. Anecdotal evidence reflects Hindi’s penetration into various spheres, with increased usage observed in travel, hospitality, and digital media, reflecting its growing relevance beyond traditional boundaries.
 
Election Commission’s Move To Secure Interstate Borders

The Election Commission convened a meeting of Account Monitoring Teams for the Lok Sabha elections, appointing IRS officer Ashutosh Pradhan as the Principal Expenditure Observer for Bastar on March 21. The meeting, held in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, emphasized strict security measures at interstate borders and action against paid news. Monitoring of control rooms, call centers, and financial transaction sites like FST, VST, and VVT was mandated.
