Remembering the Kargil War Heroes

PM Modi honoured the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War. He celebrated their courage in overcoming extreme conditions on the Himalayan peaks and achieving victory. Advancements in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

Transitioning to current developments, Modi highlighted progress in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. He noted improvements such as the reopening of cinema halls and the successful hosting of a G-20 meeting, indicating a shift towards greater peace and harmony in the region.

Significant Investment in Ladakh

Modi also announced a major increase in the budget for Ladakh, rising from ₹1,100 crore to ₹6,000 crore. This funding will support infrastructure projects like the Zojila tunnel and the expansion of 4G network coverage, fostering tourism and economic growth.

In conclusion, PM Modi’s Kargil Vijay Diwas address not only honoured the legacy of Kargil war heroes but also underscored India’s commitment to regional development and security.
