Meet Nupur Gandhi
A computer science engineer by degree, a counselor by profession. Born in Aurangabad and raised in Raipur, Ms Nupur completed her homeschooling from St.Xavier’s and undergraduate from Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur. For her masters in Information Systems from Boston University, she moved to the USA in 2014. In 2016, after her graduation while she was flourishing at her job, she realised that she’s meant to do much bigger things than just a 9-5 office job. She always had an urge to do something for people back home. So, she started making more frequent trips to India, getting inclined towards spirituality and even went to Vipassana twice.
It was in the year 2018, when she started “Raasta” where she started career counseling and counseling for mental health as well. When it was her time to go abroad, she had no proper guidance and being away from home has taught her a lot and she knows the problems people can face staying away from friends and family. So, she started this initiative so that no student faces what she had faced. In 2019, she went to Harvard to get her masters degree in Psychology, but because of COVID-19, she’s back in Raipur after five years, and coincidentally her special day isn’t just hers but she shares it with the most beautiful person in her life; her mother.
Ms.Nupur is a very bubbly, happy go lucky, and optimistic person. She’s a big believer of Buddha, and religiously practices meditation and yoga, and quotes that it has proved to be a game changer. Her biggest inspiration is Alan Watts and she admires Mitch Alboum. Among her favourite reads are The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Tuesdays with Morrie and The Timekeeper. She loves spending time with herself and is good at project management and business analysis. Very family oriented in nature, she loves cooking, watching movies and jamming with her family.
Her main goal is to raise awareness about mental health and help humanity. She believes that “Consistency is key.”
