Chhattisgarh Won the ‘Rani Suryamukhi Devi Cricket Championship’ at Digvijay Stadium

The team of the Chhattisgarh Cricket Association won the ‘Rani Suryamukhi Devi Cricket Tournament’ held at Digvijay Stadium Rajnandgaon after six years. Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association defeated Odisha Cricket Association by three wickets in the final match.

Gagandeep Singh of Chhattisgarh was the man of the match in the final match. At the same time, Suryakant Pradhan of Odisha became the man of the series. The best batsman was Anuj Tiwari from Chhattisgarh and the bowler was Saurabh Majumdar from Chhattisgarh. The winning team of the competition was awarded Rs 5 lakh and the runner-up was awarded Rs 3 lakh. Prize distribution was distributed by Chhattisgarh Youth Commission President Jitendra Mudaliar and international cricket player Rajesh Chauhan. After winning the toss in the competition, the Odisha team scored 131 runs while batting. While batting, Chhattisgarh showed some good strokes all around the ground. The required runs for victory were captured by winning the match by scoring 132 runs losing 7 wickets in 18.5 overs. The player of the Match was Ajay Mandal, the best fielder of the tournament was Sawant Paharia of Odisha, the best bowler was Saurabh Majumdar, the man of the Series was Suryakant Pradhan of Odisha, and the man of the match was Gagandeep Singh of Chhattisgarh. 

MLA Bhuneshwar Baghel was the chief guest in the tournament. Other guests included MP Santosh Pandey, District Cooperative Bank President Nawaz Khan, Youth Commission President Jitendra Mudaliar, Govardhan Deshmukh, former international cricketer Rajesh Chauhan, Dinesh Gandhi, etc. were present.
