100 Hospitals in Chhattisgarh Met The National Quality Standard; Health Services Are Improving

In the last five years, 100 hospitals in Chhattisgarh have met the national quality standard. The quality of health services is constantly enhancing in government hospitals. National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate has been awarded by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to hundred hospitals in the state for delivering outstanding healthcare and adequate therapy to patients.

In the last five years, 100 hospitals in Chhattisgarh have met the national quality standard. The quality of health services is constantly enhancing in government hospitals. National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate has been awarded by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to hundred hospitals in the state for delivering outstanding healthcare and adequate therapy to patients. These comprise district hospitals, community health centers, primary health centers, and sub-health hubs from Balrampur to Sukma. Multiple urban primary health hubs in the state have also been awarded quality certificates.

As of April 1, 2018, there was not a single hospital in Chhattisgarh that had acquired the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. For the first time in the year 2018-19, 6 hospitals of the state were granted the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate by the Union Health Ministry. After this, certification of 43 hospitals was done in 2021-22 and 36 in 2022-23. 9 hospitals have obtained this certificate so far in the current financial year 2023-24. Quality certificates have also been issued to 4 hospitals of the state for exceptional health services related to child health under the Muskaan program. Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister & Health and Family Welfare Minister T. S. Singh Deo, further initiatives are being taken constantly for the strengthening of health services in the state. Along with bolstering the infrastructure of the hospitals, the availability of medical supplies & adequate medicines is being ensured.

Adequate human resources are also being mobilized through the continuous recruitment of doctors & other medical staff under the Health Department and the National Health Mission. With these, people are obtaining quality health facilities in government hospitals. After evaluating the quality of health services, the Union Health Ministry has awarded the NQS certificate to 100 hospitals here.
