Chhattisgarh Tourism Department’; Giving Golden Opportunity To Earn

The tourism department is initiating a registration process for individuals interested in offering lodging services in urban, rural, and tribal areas. Comprehensive details about these providers will be accessible on the department’s website, ensuring a hassle-free experience for tourists. This scheme is currently operational in various states, including Kerala, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana.

The Union Ministry of Tourism has launched the “Homestay and Bed and Breakfast” initiative with the primary aim of addressing the shortage of quality or budget-friendly hotels. This scheme is set to be implemented by state governments, and detailed terms and conditions have been established. There will be a registration fee charged by the tourism department, which will remain valid for three years. Additionally, the tourism department will provide a rating for registered providers. Similar to hotels, those offering homestay services will be required to maintain a register containing information about all their guests.

The tourism department will extend various forms of assistance to homestay providers. This includes providing training to hosts and operators on etiquette, language skills, and guesthouse management. There will also be training sessions covering etiquette and grooming for guesthouse caretakers. To encourage and acknowledge qualitative development, an annual award ceremony will be held.
