RaipurSwami Vivekananda Airport Ranked Fifth In India
Raipur’s Swami Vivekananda Airport has been ranked fifth in the Airport Service Quality survey conducted by the Airport Council of India (ACI). Indore Airport secured first place with a rating of 4.19, while Chennai and Varanasi Airports took second and third place with 4.90 and 4.90 ratings respectively. The survey evaluated factors such as cleanliness, passenger facilities, and employee behavior, as well as technical aspects like connectivity and infrastructure. The results were recently announced by the Airports Council International (ACI) for a total of 15 cities, including Goa, Visakhapatnam, Trichy, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Kolkata, Pune, Amritsar, Srinagar, Coimbatore, and Patna airports.
 
RaipurOver 51 lakh families  Enrolled Under The Jan Dhan Scheme
 
Over 51 lakh families in Chhattisgarh have enrolled in the Jan Dhan scheme. Banking services have rapidly expanded in both urban and rural areas, with an increase in banking branches from 2,500 in 2019 to around 3,340 by 2024. The number of ATMs has also increased to 3,491. Women have taken loans to benefit from government schemes, with a total loan of Rs 20,107 crore in the state, which is 11.74% of the total loan. There are 19547 banking villages in the state, with Rajnandgaon having the highest number. Even Naxal-affected districts, such as Kondagaon, have seen an increase in digital transactions due to government financial schemes.
RaipurLok Sabha Election Voting In Three Phases In CG
 
The Election Commission has announced the voting dates for the 543 Lok Sabha seats in India. In Chhattisgarh, voting will be held in three phases on 11 seats, starting on April 19 and ending on May 7. The results will be released on June 4. BJP had won nine seats and Congress had won two seats in the last election year. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar made the announcement.
RaipurUnion Government Approves 100 Electric Buses For Raipur
 
The Indian government has approved 240 electric buses for four cities in Chhattisgarh under the Prime Minister e-bus Sewa scheme. The state capital Raipur will receive 100 medium e-buses, while twin city Bhilai-Durg will get 50 medium e-buses. Bilaspur will receive 50 e-buses, 30 of which will be medium and 20 mini, and Korba will receive 40 e-buses, with 20 of each being medium and mini. This decision was made at a recent meeting of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai believes that the introduction of e-buses will transform urban transportation in the state and promote environmental conservation.
 
RaipurTest Under Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program For Raipur Inmates 
 
The Basic Literacy and Numerical Knowledge Assessment Test was held under the Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program, which was organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy and the National Institute of Open Schooling. The test took place on March 17 and had around 2 lakh students from the state, including 170 prisoners from Raipur Central Jail. The examination was conducted in both urban and rural areas of the state, and learners who had not been certified earlier or had studied at Mohalla Literacy Center were included. Appropriate guidelines were issued by the State Literacy Mission Authority in advance. Ms. Jyoti Tiwari from the National Literacy Center Cell monitored this examination.
