PM Shri Yojana: Chhattisgarh Welcomes 52 New Schools Including Swami Atmanand

Chhattisgarh has recently seen a significant boost in its education sector as 52 new schools have been included under the PM Shri Yojana. Most of these schools are part of the Swami Atmanand Yojana and will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, smart classrooms, and improved infrastructure. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education for students across the state.

Expansion Across the State

The central government has approved including these schools under the Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM Shri) scheme based on a proposal for holistic education. This decision will see the transformation of schools operating under the Swami Atmanand Yojana into PM Shri schools. This move ensures that these institutions receive better resources and facilities to aid in the educational development of students.

Raipur Leads the Way

Raipur is among the key beneficiaries of this initiative. Four schools in the city, including Swami Atmanand Government English Media Navapara and Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Vidyalaya Mana Camp, have been included in the PM Shri Yojana. Other cities and districts such as Balod, Balodabazar, Balrampur, Bemetara, Bilaspur, and many more also see their schools benefitting from this scheme.

Cutting-Edge Learning Facilities

According to Kailash Chandra Kabra, the Additional Director of Samagra Shiksha, the schools included in the PM Shri Yojana will feature modern learning facilities. These will include Atal Tinkering Labs, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Robotic Technology. These schools will also be developed as green schools, equipped with solar power, indoor game facilities, career guidance, and exposure visits. Furthermore, they will offer ICT smart class facilities along with improved infrastructure.

Ambitious Goals for the Future

The state government has set a target to include 349 schools under the PM Shri Yojana. Currently, 193 elementary and 18 higher secondary level schools are part of this scheme. With the addition of the 52 new schools, the total number of PM Shri schools in Chhattisgarh will rise to 263. The government plans to model all existing Swami Atmanand English-Hindi medium schools in the state after the PM Shri model. This integration will provide these schools with advanced technology, smart classrooms, and superior infrastructure.

This initiative is a major step towards enhancing the educational landscape of Chhattisgarh, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education supported by modern technology and infrastructure.
