Chief Electoral Officer Announces 10 Essentials
Chhattisgarh’s Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale revealed that the Election Commission of India has designated 10 essential services for the state in the run-up to the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. These services encompass Health, Electricity, Railway Transport, Posts, BSNL, All India Radio, Doordarshan, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Milk Union Limited, accredited media personnel, and the Food Corporation of India. Notified personnel unable to reach polling stations on Election Day due to official duties are entitled to cast votes via postal ballots. Application submission deadline for Form 12D varies across constituencies, with Bastar’s set for March 25, Rajnandgaon, Kanker, and Mahasamund for April 2, and others for April 17, 2024.

Unique Holi Celebration At The Gau Shala of Kandsar  
For the past 18 years, the unique celebration of Holi at the Gau Shala of Kandsar, Gariaband has been fostering the traditions of the festival alongside a deep love for nature. This year’s festivities welcomed an unusual set of guests including ladybugs, bats, and Palas trees alongside the revered mother cows. The ceremony commenced with a Havan at Brahmamuhurta, with Purnahuti scheduled for the full moon day. Following a field visit by the mother cows, locals gathered at Kadsar Basti to warmly receive the guests. The occasion was marked by the Kalash Yatra and elaborate rituals, culminating in a joyous celebration late into the evening.
 
Cricket Summer Camp In Dhamtari From April 1
The Dhamtari District Cricket Association is set to host the Cricket Summer Camp from April 1st to May 31st at the PG College Cricket Stadium. Secretary Ajay Babar highlighted efforts since 2012 to promote deuce ball cricket in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association, aided by local administration and PG College. The stadium boasts a turf wicket, a grassy field, and 5 practice pitches. Notably, senior women players from the state association will conduct training. The camp offers free deuce ball cricket and fitness training for all ages, with limited spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.
