CG: 16 kids to participate in National Children’s Science Congress

16 young scientists from the state will participate in the National Children’s Science Congress. The event is to be held in Ahmedabad. These children have been selected for the State Level Children’s Science Congress which was held in Raipur. The selection of the young scientists was announced on the concluding day of the state-level event organized by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology.

CGCOST director general Dr. S Karmakar said that this event helps children to harness their creativity and innovative thinking to reach the result. “Children should be always motivated and encouraged to do better in the field of research,” Karmakar said.

Pt Ravishankar Shukla University Vice-chancellor K L Verma said that this event is for developing a scientific temperament in children.

This year the National Children’s Science Congress was organized from December 1 to 3. The theme for this year was “Ecosystem, health, and well-being.” Many innovations and research works were presented by child scientists at this event.

About the event

In the state-level science congress was organized from December 1 to 3. A total of 1305 projects from 26 districts were received. Out of which 130 projects were presented in offline and virtual mode. This year 16 projects were selected for the event. Scientists selected from Chhattisgarh are Priyansh Bhaduri, Nandita Kewat, Rupshikha Sahu, Disha Sahu, Priyanshu Patel, Radhika Kanwar, Bhumika Joshi, Anvika Gupta, Koram Samuel, Maheshwar Sahoo, Jhanvi Thakur, Kiran Kanwar, Khushi Jha, Manohar Baghel, Radhika, and Ananya Singh.

Scientists from Sukma

Child scientists from the Sukma district will also participate in the 30th National Children’s Science Congress 2022 to be held in Ahmedabad, the industrial city of Gujarat, known as the “Manchester of India”. Corum Samuel and Misba of DAV Konta will give a presentation on Modern and Eco-Friendly Incinerators. In the junior category, Manohar Baghel and Sodi Deepak of Government Higher Secondary School, Jhapra will make a presentation on the project “Food system and the health of native residents of Sukma”. Pridvi Teja is the guiding teacher of the senior class child scientists. While the guiding teacher of the junior class child scientists is Omlata Sonkar.
